Who Are The Poringland Fuel Allotment Charity
Poringland Fuel Allotment Charity dates back to 1805 and was originally set up with the objective of relieving of need, hardship of or distress to the residents of Poringland.
More recently these objectives have been redefined to distribute its income to those living in the parish of Poringland who are in need through hardship or distress, but also to include winter fuel payments to those in need, offer emergency grants to those who have found themselves in hardship or distress, offer grants to students to support their further educational needs and grants to community organisations for projects which provide sports, leisure, education or related facilities primarily benefitting Poringland residents.

Our Trustees
Our trustees come from a range of backgrounds
Alison Randall - Chair
I have worked for Norfolk County Council since 1987, being a senior finance manager in the Children’s Services Department. As well as being the Chair of the Poringland Fuel Allotment Charity, I have served as a governor and Trustee in many schools in Norfolk for over 30 years, including Poringland Primary, Framingham Earl High, Brooke Primary and Seething & Mundham Primary.
I am a Trustee and Treasurer of several charities, including the PCC of St Andrew’s Church, Framingham Earl. My son was educated locally and am now a doting grandparent to two beautiful grandsons. I have a strong desire to support local residents and help them if possible when they encounter difficulties. I believe PFAC can go a little way to doing that.
David Gooderman - Vice Chair
I have lived in Poringland for over 20 years and have been a Poringland Parish Councillor. I am now retired having spent 37 years working for Norwich Union (now Aviva) in a number of roles, latterly as Director of Reward and Employee Relations.
I have undertaken a number of roles as a local cricket administrator and , with 10 grandchildren , am never bored ! I really enjoy contributing to the great work which the Poringland Fuel Allotment Charity undertakes as its Vice Chair and Treasurer.
