ARE YOU WORRYING ABOUT HOW YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PAY FOR YOUR WINTER FUEL COSTS THIS YEAR. PART OF THE WORK OF THE PFAC IS TO HELP PEOPLE WHO ARE IN HARDSHIP WITH FUNDING THESE COSTS.
If you are finding it hard to make ends meet, the Poringland Fuel Allotment Charity may be able to support you with an annual grant toward these costs. The application process is very straight forward and our only conditions are that you must be a resident of Poringland and you can demonstrate that you have a need for assistance.
The Trustees meet every two months, but normally applications for winter fuel grants are considered at our November meeting and, if your grant is awarded, payment will be direct into your bank account shortly afterwards.

Testimonial - Framingham Earl High School
The PFAC have supported the school in a number of ways in recent years. We have been able to upgrade our outdoor play spaces with their generous donation to fund basketball hoops, 5 a side goals and table tennis table. This has enabled our children to have a wider range of activities to engage with during social times to support friendships developing and active play. In addition PFAC have supported the purchase of new non-fiction materials for our school library. The finances allowed us to buy books that are up to date and relevant for the modern age so that our children can still enjoy the unique learning environment of a library rather than always relying on screens. Each year a bursary has been offered to the school to use for our vulnerable students. This has been shared amongst a number of families and has provided financial assistance for uniform, trips, music lessons and school equipment.
The PFAC has an incredibly generous spirit and even allowed our children to engage with them to design the new logo for their website. It was a challenge the children relished and we are delighted to see Ted’s design being used.
